TPACK

Image
TPACK, simply put, is a framework for teachers that combines three key areas for effective use of technology in lessons: Tech (T): Knowing the different educational technology tools available. Teaching (P): Understanding strong teaching methods and strategies. Subject (C): Having expertise in the specific content being taught. The magic happens where these areas overlap. For example, a teacher with strong TPACK (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) can: Choose the perfect technology tool to enhance a specific lesson (Tech + Content). Use technology to deliver instruction in engaging ways (Tech + Teaching). Overall, TPACK helps teachers go beyond just using technology to truly leverage its potential for deeper learning in their subject area. Reflecting on the Power of TPACK: A Lesson Learned Today's lesson on [topic] showcased the power of using the TPACK model for effective learning. TPACK, which stands for Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge, e...

SAMR model

Tuesday, April 23 Reflecting on the SAMR Model: A Lesson Reconsidered Today's lesson on SAMR prompted me to reflect on the SAMR model for technology integration. SAMR, which stands for Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, and Redefinition, outlines different levels of technology use in the classroom. Examining the lesson through this lens helped me appreciate the ways technology can enhance, and even redefine, learning experiences. Initially, the lesson seemed to fall within the Substitution category. We used projector or simply PPT to access information that could have been found in a textbook. While convenient, this didn't fully utilize the technology's potential.  This moved us into the Augmentation stage, where the technology offered additional features like [specific features of the technology tool that enhanced learning]. The real impact came with the Modification stage. The teacher leveraged us to create a collaborative activity where we learnt how to effec...

Middle level of ICT integration

Middle level of ICT integration Reflection  " Ever wonder how far the ICT advancement has reach ? " If you are thinking same like me, let me tell you what I learnt today. ICT session has never fail to amaze me ever since the start of the ICT session of this semester. The "PhET simulation " is what we learnt, PhET simulation is the visual demonstration of the teaching and learning through ICT integration. In this site, we can create, develop and demonstrate varieties of teaching and learning materials there by saving our time and resources. Well to review more consciously, I felt that there would be nothing much smarter and easier way to teach the students through PhET than to use the traditional methods.  For instances, We tried designing Parrell circuit through PhET simulations. Nevertheless, The session was fun and imaginative for me. Of course I must admit that for now, I feel little strange and uncomfortable to use this PhET simulations since its new for me; I ...
